Director of Operations

Our client is a strategic and financial advisory firm that focuses on the energy, infrastructure, communications, and security sectors where intelligent solutions are needed to improve efficiency and support the needs of a growing population. We help organizations in these sectors meet their financial and execution challenges by offering global experience and leadership to drive business development, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, and senior-level strategic advice in developing innovative business expansion. They are headquartered in Washington, DC, with partners and staff located in the United States, Europe, Africa & Asia.

Role:

We seek a highly energized, sales-oriented professional to provide organizational leadership and support a range of activities to grow our business with us. Candidates must possess a high level of interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a geographically distributed team of senior executives under little direct supervision in a highly entrepreneurial setting. The chosen individual should demonstrate strong analytical skills, personal initiative, and an ability to prioritize multiple assignments while producing consistent, high-quality work product. We seek applicants with ambition and shared values who can handle a fast-paced work cycle in a smaller company and who desire to acquire long-term career skills working with a group of very senior partners with global experience.

Specific job responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of business operations
  • Conducting prospective client, investor, and market research as well as transaction due diligence
  • Initiating and supporting client pitches and business development efforts
  • Assisting with drafting and reviewing proposals, engagement letters, and related documentation
  • Developing presentations and offering materials for financial advisory engagements
  • Managing correspondence and communications with clients, partners, and financing institutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, or similar
  • Minimum five years post-undergrad in finance, M&A, consulting, management, or similar role
  • FINRA SIE; Series 7, 63, 79 licenses preferred
  • Strong proficiency and presentation skills using MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Team player, intellectually curious, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving
  • MBA or equivalent degree or training preferred
  • Experience with Intacct, Bill.com, Nexonia, Box, and G-Suite preferred
  • Entrepreneurial and leadership experience; ambition to help build the business
  • International work or life experience preferred
